Emergency Quick Fixes
A few items you probably would never think about carrying with you on the day you marry follows. These are tools used by seasoned wedding professionals, those whose savvy know-how makes them the best in the industry. Take these with you and you'll be able to relax in the confidence that all will be fine should an emergency arise.
White chalk - Smudges on your wedding dress can make you self-conscious but white chalk can, literally, cover-up most problems. You can buy this essential at most fabric shops.
Eye drops - Bet you didn't know that eye drops could be used not only to soothe sore red eyes but to cure spots too. According to the experts, a drop or two can help settle an unexpected eruption quickly. Another secret weapon is hydrocortisone cream, which reduces swelling.
Clear nail polish - A little dab will do the trick when a ladder takes off in your tights or stockings. Let the varnish dry for a few minutes, though, before letting your dress touch the offending area.
Vaseline - This all around classic product is good when used as a hand cream, lip balm and gloss but it can also be put to use to tame fly-away hairs. However you use it, be sure to do so lightly as too much can be greasy.
Make-up scarf - When touching up make-up or changing into a going away outfit it's important to protect your clothes. A store bought or homemade make-up scarf will help you look beautiful and keep mishaps at bay.
