Dan and Kelley travelled all the way from New York to get married in a beautiful, intimate setting in Dingle, Co. Kerry on May 20, 2011.
They chose Clogher beach as their setting with the reception in Ballintaggart House. It was a destination wedding as both Kelley and Dan and all of their guests are from New York, but Dan's grandparents are from Dingle.
Kelley felt it was important that everything looked natural as she wanted to honour the location of Dan's heritage, so they chose fuchsias as a theme in colours of deep pink, purple and green.
Annie from Aislinn Events, who planned the wedding, loved this quote from the bride: "I want flowers that look like flowers and a cake that looks like a cake."
Dan and his friends are all part of a Vespa club in NY so Annie had a Vespa delivered to the venue as a surprise! She also had little buttons made with images of a Vespa, a fuchsia, a pint of Guinness and a harp as a token for the guests to represent Ireland and their home.
Kelley’s gown and bridesmaids’ dresses were Gap and her shoes were Manolo Blahnik. The cakes were Cloudberry Bakery and the flowers by Every Occasion Florist in Tralee.
Kelley and Dan’s photographer friend, Adam Lerner travelled from New York to Dingle to shoot their wedding. He did an amazing job of capturing special, intimate moments between the couple and including the spectacular backdrop that is Co. Kerry.
