Ok
Dilemma dilemma.
Pale irish skin.
To spray or not to spray that is the question ?
Need to decide before I book hair and make up trials
What did you do ? What are you going to do?
What brand did you go with in the end?

The tan I'll be getting for the wedding day will be the same tan I've gotten before for friends wedding. But I will ask the beautician to spray it lightly as I don't want to look too tanned, just enough to take the blue tinge from my skin!

Hi Akward Annie
Definitely want to avoid the cornbeef look.
A light tan /glow is what I think I want
what brand of spray tan does your beautician use

I used Xen Tan for my wedding. Got it done in my local beautician. Had tried sun fx and san tropez but found the xen was the best. Maybe try a few out and see what looks best on your skin.

As a girl who was nick-named Casper all through school i can absolutely stand over Sun FX. Used it for my own and my sisters wedding, it was fantastic. Have tried loads of other types and in fairness this was the only one that was even, natural and didnt stain dresses etc.

I am having a sun fx. I've had it done loads of times for different events. I don't want it to be too dark or to come off on my dress. The girl doing it is fab and she suggested that I come in for a light spray on the wed, shower on the thurs, come in the thurs evening for another light spray, shower on the fri night then instead of the morning of the wedding which is on the saturday. Means I wont be too dark but will have healthy glow!

I'm wondering what to do about a spray tan too!
My wedding is at the end of November, so I don't want to be overly or unnaturally bronzed for the day, just a very light tan to even out my skin tone too. I was thinking of using Saint Tropez tinted body lotion for a few days at home the week of the wedding (well get my mum and maid of honour to to help!). I've used this product before and its very light (and you can build up as much as you like over a few days), doesn't stain sheets, doesn't smell too bad or streak and fades evenly. I will experiment a bit though in the months before the wedding!
I had a nightmare spray tan experience last summer, I had a full body Rock Star Spray tan done for a friends wedding and it was terrible! It was uneven and streaky, and parts of me were very tanned and orange and other parts looked completely untanned. I was so upset as the dress I was wearing was relatively low at the front and back, cap sleeves and bare legs from the knee down. I sent photos of my dodgy tan to the salon and they happily refunded me and gave a voucher. That didn't fix my tan for the wedding though. The only consolation was that I wasn't the only "tangoed" guest

California Tan - I love it and I've never had any problems. Looks super natural which I need cos I have typical Irish skin.

I'll be staying away from the tan. It always looks a bit odd on me. And I don't really like it anyway. I'm lucky though, have light sallow skin so I don't ever really have that pasty-white look luckily.

I had Vita Liberta (can't spell) I got the medium one, i was a bit worried as my friend had told me to get the lightest but my local salon didn't do it they said it was too light. It was perfect I told them I only wanted light coating and it looked so natural.
You should get it a couple of days beforehand (i got mine on a Wednesday and married Friday) as this gives you time for it to settle and a couple of showers to get rid of the excess.
I would normally just use a light bronzer but didn't want it to smudge over my dress.
