Hi all,
I'm in the process of planning my diy candy buffet. I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend suppliers for sweets, bags, jars and scoops.
Thanks, veggie x

Hey got my jars in ikea, scoops from allaboutweddings.ie (ordered from ebay but they were crap - tip pet food scoops are massive!), sweets and bags from chewbz.com. There was a thread on this last week and i posted the amounts of sweets i bought and amount paid if u wanna search for that. Sorry on my phone so can't search or copy and paste

The best thing to do is find someone you know with a Cash and Carry membership and buy your sweets in bulk there. I got my scoops on ebay and they were lovely but I have to decorate them a bit I think! I got my jars in Dunnes, Heatons, Ikea and TK Maxx as I wanted a more retro feel than the ones in Ikea. I ordered my personalised bags off Ebay and I made the sign myself with a vintage photoframe. My wedding is not until next April though but I'm finished collected glassware....etc!

I ordered my sweets from
www.retrosweetz.com and for ones I wanted loads of I went to Cash & Carry but I found that I wanted more variety so could buy smaller amounts but loads of different ones from the website whereas I would have only got half the selection but the same amount of sweets from the cash and carry.
Most of my dishes I got from IKEA so cheap

hey we got 13/14 jars i think. we had a bit of a scoop disaster!! bought 6 from ebay which were way too big, then only bought 4 from allaboutweddings.ie but they are actually really small so we could really could do with a few more but not sure where i will get them at short notice!! so have to think about what to do. if you send me a pm with your email address I will email you a picture of how it's gonna look??
