Fake it till you make it!!! Sunbeds are not worth the risks in my opinion!

I am definitely doing sunbeds, I have seen brides with fake tan marks under their arms and it is so unattractive!!

I am usually totally against the use for sun beds (except for in the treatment of skin conditions), but i have to say, I;m really starting to think about having a go before my wedding. I HATE fake tan....it seems to react with my skin and turn me a really wierd mustard colour, and don't even talk to me about the stink!
I think as long as you're careful, don't over do it, adn don't make a habit of it, you'll be fine. Like anything else thou, have a trial run. Don't leave it untill 2 days before the wedding in case, you have a reaction to it, or it doesn't look good.

It looks like I will be having a sunbed tan for my wedding but not intentionally - I have a skin condition that has really kicked off lately - worst its been in 10 years and the last resort is a sunbed. To be honest I would prefer the pale and interesting look. I never even get fake tan. Mind you after 4 sessions it hasn't actually changed my colour in the slightest but at least my skin has stopped splitting!

I wouldn't go near sunbeds myself! I'm also not big into fake tan etc but I got a spray tan done for the wedding using an organic fair tan and it was lovely! It gave more of a glow than a colour & really natural looking! If you go to a beautician talk to them about other products they can get!

I'm going to do three for four sun beds a bti before the wedding to take the blue look from my body...whiter than white I am...never used fake tan, have no interest in it. I generally stay clear of the sun and always am caked in factor 30 when I am in the sun so I'm thinking a few sun beds isn't going to do much harm. I've already been lynched by a few friends but they're the very people that will go out in the sun to bake so I've chosen not to listen!

I'm using sunbeds, would only consider it for wedding as i have eczema and when i dont have eczema my skin is very dry in places no matter how much i moisturise or how much water i drink so i cant wear fake tan as it just clings to it and makes me look dirty. Trust me if i could find a decent fake tan that worked with dry skin i would use it but it doesnt exist, i've tried them all so i'm gonna do a few sessions a week in the run up to the wedding

I have always gone for the pale and interesting look too and was always anti sunbeds but I get chest and back acne so I decided to try a few sunbed sessions ahead of my sisters wedding last year. The acne cleared up completely!!! Haven't used them since but if my skin starts acting up again I will as my dress is strapless and I would feel awful if my skin wasn't clear on the day.

Ive hired one for my wedding and have been using it for nearly a month now, only 3 mins a go for the first two wks (im whiter than white) so that i wouldnt burn. the results have been that iv got a really brown stomach and back but my arms and legs just wont take to it for sum reason so now have to go and get tan dun n hate the thoughts of getting fake tan on my dress....
The second reason i got sunbed is to have a base for honeymoon as its gonna be quite hot and id burn to a crisp if i didnt have a base for it!

I am quite pale naturally and for the past few years before hols I have gotten a few sunbed sessions to help prepare my skin for the sun (this was after one year I got badly burned across my arms and shoulders). I reckon a few sessions (max once/twice a year, definitely not regularly) is less harmful than bad sunburn. I'm still quite careful with SPF etc, I just think it helps your skin adjust.
Anyway earlier this year a friend recommended the sun angel sunbeds, they are a 20 min session that supposedly gives you a UV dose suited to how pale your skin is and minimises chances of burning. I used them before I went away in February and found them good. Quite strong so I only actually needed to get 2 sessions. I wasn't looking for a tan off them just a slight base but I'd say a few more would give you a colour. Anyway they have them in Tanzone on the quays in town. Going away in August again and ill prob get 2 more the week before I go

I hate tan, I'm so pale that it looks weird on me. I think I'll do the Johnsons or Dove the week of the wedding just to lift my colour a tiny little bit so that I'm not actually whiter than my dress, but I definitely, definitely wouldn't go near a sunbed, just not worth the risk.
I'd say your make-up artist could recommend a good self tan that doesn't come off on the dress? Something like the vita liberata or wow brown maybe? I'm probably no use on this at all as I wouldn't be overly familiar with tans, just had to get my spoke in as per
