Hi girls,

Getting married day after the opening ceremony of the London olympics and think it would be nice if i could tie it in with the reception in some way, maybe some sort of centerpiece or names for the tables etc

Anyone got any ideas??

How about naming tables after some of the people that have won olympic medals for Ireland?

I wouldnt do too much or go over the top with it to be honest. You could show a clip of highlights of past olympians or something!

oh I really like that idea, very different, we love the olympics in our house so its the type of thing that would appeal to us, but I'd say you'd have to consider the interests of your guests, not everybody would go for it, something tells me men would prefer this theme to women, but in saying that I really like the idea and think you could make it work.

How about the "Olympic Rings" as napkin holders?

Like these but in the blue, black, red, yellow and green



and as Bride2be040812 said naming the tables after medal winners or events?

Also maybe have your menu instead of starter, main course, dessert, coffee

Opening Ceremony, Semi Finals, Finals, Closing Ceremony or something like that??
