Yeah. I'm so excited about it. Everytime we've visited before we booked the bridal suite was being used. Looking forward to seeing it. I've heard it's fab.
Hopefully there will be a few competitions (can always dream that I'll win my wedding and not have to save!!) and good offers there too.

went to the fair today, got to see the bridal suite aswel which is just wow, its huge, dont fancy the trek up the stairs at 3 am but ill get there somehow :o0 no competitions i seen, not even the one for the hotel itself, altho im told anyone who books by feb 28th is entered into it, i asked even if we booked it last nov, so waiting to here now

if ye havent a band booked, id def recommend Goodfellas, what great guys to talk to and deal with plus they sound great, unfortunately for me they were booked last week for our date, when i asked for their recommendation out of all the bands they have heard and know i was glad to hear that who they said were a band we have been in touch with and are going to see next week, so fingers crossed we get them..

Hi All,

Sorry for hijacking this thread! Dunboyne is on my Top 3, we went to the Fair yesterday and it was a bit chaotic to say the least! So we didn't get to speak to anyone or offered to have a look at the Bridal Suite.

Just wondering, are any of ye worried that the bar in the room is a wee bit on the small side? We couldn't get to see it properly as it was blocked by a stand but from what I could see, it seems quite small? We're having about 200 guests who all love a drink so I'm afraid of there being a bottleneck at the bar (pardon the pun) :o0

Would appreciate any feedback as I really like the place!

We were at the fair yesterday too we're booked since oct last year. The bridal suite was open yesterday you could just walk up through the old house yourself. As regards the bar was at a wedding myself there and the bar was grand...if your having a really huge wedding you could use the bar outside the room too however i wouldnt say it is necessary. Anyone who has their wedding booked for 2011 0r 2012 regardless of when they booked it is being entered into the draw. We stayed the night last night and had a meal in the restaurant...it was gorgeous seriously delish!!

Hey MrsOc i asked about the small bar aswell, in the room as we have over 220 for ours, but its big enough, not all 220 guests will be at the bar at the same time, plus you do get the option to leave the larger one outside open aswell if you want, the package they offer is great, incl with wine aswell during dinner, i think the smaller bar will make people (especially men) mingle a lot more instead of taking up the bar, we booked last nov and have seen the room done up for a wedding, , it was pretty caotic yest alright, ring up ask to speak to melanie and ask her when the next wedding is and go and view it then if you can before you make up your mind!!! where are your other 2 choices for?

Thats great SHORTI , was there any special offers for booking yest> you get the date you were looking for?

Hey MrsOC2012

I agree with you, it was abit chaotic yesterday, I thought it would be laid out for a wedding too but ive seen it before. I'd recommened to go back some other day just the 2 of you and have a look at it all set you, its it beauiful and the dance floor is a good size too. Id be afraid to open the bar outside incase everyone stays there instead of inside O-O
The room is fab with the lights dimmed and the curtins drawn and the candle light, very romantic :xox

HI, Does anyone know which is the residence bar in Dunboyne, I'm sure Melanie told me it's the lounge behing reception, but thinking downstairs couldn't prob be better as you'd be away from Accomodation block

My h2b is a bargaining whiz and as melanie said we are limited to dates as we are so fully booked and if we didnt pick a date someone else surely would, the package they have is brilliant and you get everything in it, only thing we will not be taking are the chair covers as they are crean and the table linen is white so we are going to have someone do our room decor :o)ll
