Photographs of wedding on Facebook-how to avoid??

Ciarella, if they are taken and developed, of course they will be passed around, but it won't be permanent. FB is permanent, and depending on an individual's setting on their account, an infinite amount of people could have a goo and even share them with others. In the old days, people took photos and only people near to them would see them and they'd go back in the box or into a frame. Now... and I'm aware that the whole world is not and never will be interested in my photos.... they could potentially see and share, and they'll always be there. That's what I'm not comfortable with.

see i just don't see the problem if i'm honest, i know some people feel strongly about their pictures being taken, privacy issues etc. I just don't, i feel if you walk out your door then you're putting yourself out there so why worry about it, that's how i see it anyway.
I know if got an invite or was asked not to put up pictures (and i'm by no means into fb, rarely post) i'd probably think it a bit odd, just my 2 cents

What about enclosing one of the above poems on a piece of card to match your invites.... At least then people know how you feel about it and will hopefully respect your wishes!

Actually, and I know this from work, you have no copyright to your face so if your photo is taken in a public place you can't complain. However, if it's taken at a private place/event you could. Why you would is another thing, but there you go! :-) like you said, it's a personal thing, but you'd hope a couple's personal wishes on what is a personal day would be respected!
