Dreamcatcher Productions & Harvey’s Point the overall winners of WeddingsOnline.ie 2013 Awards!
This year’s hotly anticipated WeddingsOnline.ie 2013 Awards were announced at a glamorous ceremony held at a gala dinner and charity auction in the stylish surroundings of Clontarf Castle on Monday February 18th.
With winners of 34 hard fought categories announced on the night, there was much friendly competition between guests representing the country’s finest wedding businesses and services. Dreamcatcher Productions, the wedding videographers and Harvey’s Point, the luxurious hotel in Donegal were the two overall winners of the 4th annual WeddingsOnline.ie 2013 Awards, and celebrated at Clontarf Castle on Monday night, along with the winners of the other 30 categories.
Over 28,000 brides and grooms nationwide voted for their top suppliers and venues in a wide range of categories, who were then judged by a panel of expert industry specialists, with decisions based on quality of work and a real wedding experience. Judges this year were David Heneghan from CX Index, Mark Richardson & Associates from Irish Mystery Shopping, Tara Fay from Xena Productions & Alan Berg, Education Guru for WeddingWire in the US and one of the keynote speakers at the WeddingsOnline.ie conference earlier in the day.
Categories cover every possible service offered to brides and grooms around the country, from music and flowers, to venues and videographers. Many of this year’s winners really did come from all over the country, with the hotel winners in the regional categories for wedding venues being Mulranny Park Hotel, Wedding Venue of the Year Hotel Connaught, Thomas Prior Hall winning in Leinster, the Armada Hotel in Munster and Harvey’s Point in Ulster. Ballinacurra House in Kinsale won Exclusive Wedding Venue of the Year, Radisson Blu Farnham Estate Hotel in Cavan won Wedding Venue of the Year Lakelands and Barberstown Castle in Kildare won Wedding Venue of the Year Castle. There were also those who were honoured in the Judges Highly Commended category including Daisy Chain Kinsale, McDermott Travel, Clonabreany House, Faithlegg House Hotel & Golf Club, Harlequin, Couple Photography, Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa & Country Club and Lough Eske Castle, a Solis Hotel & Spa.
Each category faced considerable competition from the other suppliers shortlisted, and all participants, both nominees and winners alike, were delighted with the recognition of their hard work and dedication from WeddingsOnline.ie subscribers.
“The annual WeddingsOnline.ie Awards have been enormously important in recognising the successes, dedication and extremely high levels of quality and service given by the Irish wedding industry,” said Peter Bryans, MD of WeddingsOnline.ie Ltd., speaking after the awards ceremony. “The standards keep improving year on year. From bouquets to bridal wear, music to makeup, castles to cakes, the many award-winning wedding suppliers throughout the Irish wedding industry can be extremely proud of their achievements.”
