Bride's DiaryIt Started With A Kiss. . . . . When they say men arent the most observant creatures in the world they are not far wrong, when I say I was only short of hanging a flashing sign in front of Phils eyes, well thats more or less what I had to do literally !! Rewind two years and I entered the doors of one of Irelands biggest accountancy firms with high aspirations and no need for a man .or so I thought, two days later my phone isnt working and this gorgeous guy has to come and fix it for me, things were definitely looking up and the not needing a man idea was changing.I swear it was the snickers that did it! For the next few months myself and my beloved skirted around each other, for some unknown reason hed become very attached to the water cooler beside my desk and I kept having to go to the canteen at 10am on the dot every day although dont ask me why! 2 years later to a night out with my friends, one of whom is now my bridesmaid and still slags me about it to this day, we were out in a well known nightspot in Ballsbridge and who do I spot only Mr Gorgeous himself and putting on my bravest Ive had about 10 drinks face I went over kissed him, ran off and tried to persuade my mates I had just hugged him (very mature!!!) Seeing him the next day in work wasnt embarrassing at all especially when it was just me and him in the lift muttering good night then? He still loves the fact that I jumped him! (Although I really dispute that!) And so the flirtatious goings on continued... Eventually I got sick of the messing and decided to do something about it and so went out to a going away do that I knew he would be at (after quizzing him while he was up a ladder) and after a few white wines and some encouragement from his friend (thanks Liam!) I pulled him aside and told him how I felt about him ! His reply ? He kissed me in front of everyone and thats how the madness started 5 months on and we were still going strong and happy as Larry! I must say that I have the most romantic man in the world. Christmas came and went and he surprised me by hiding presents all over his house and giving me clues to help me find them. We started to talk about the future and decided that we would love to get married some time in the future, (I knew that after the 2nd day!) and so we decided to go and have a look at the venues on offer just to see what was what, 2 weeks later and after deliberations with mum and finding our new house in between we booked Clontarf Castle . By the way have I told you that we were missing out on one thing, slight problem we werent engaged yet .. but Ill tell you that story in my next entry .til then L xxxxxx |
