Some advise, we're going to tuscany on honeymoon next aug. We have accommodatin booked but no flights yet. I'm wondering if we should be booking them now? And should we go through a travel agent? I'd love some advice!!! K

Which airport would be the most suitable to access the Tuscan region?

pisa is a good airport to fly into - nice and small with good rail links to the rest of tuscany.
Aer Lingus and Alitalia fly there.

Alitalia have stopped flying from Ireland. Depending how long you are going for I've give a travel agent a ring and ask about charter flights to Pisa as they may work out cheaper or more suitable than Aer Lingus.

Aer Lingus flies to Rome. We have done Tuscany from Rome a few times - its about 3.5 hours on the A1 from the Rome Airport to Florence, and less to Siena and the South of Tuscany.

Don't worry about the language - just learn the few key phrases - Itaians are very patient and for the most part are incredibly willing to use their hands - It's a very easy country to travel in.

hi, re the flights your looking for, TOPFLIGHT operate a charter flight that serves tuscany, ask them to book transfers also....you can take their bus to tuscany and get a taxi direct to your accomadation. im outve the traveltrade bout 3yrs, but thats the way they used to do it.

hope advice helps
