Does anyone who has been or is going to the Maldives know
what the story is with money? We're going all inclusive for 2 weeks
but dont know how much cash we should bring aswell.
Or if there is cashpoints on the islands?

We have booked the Maldives and from what I've found out already is that everything you buy (extra drinks, snacks) not included in the all inclusive you sign for and pay by credit card at the end of the holiday. The only cash you need is US Dollars and that is only for tipping and the gift shop. Not sure though how much cash you would need. Would really need to ask someone who has been.

We're going all inclusive also but I was wondering how we'd pay for things that aren't included and excursions etc. Suppose the credit card is the easiest option really.

I have been to the Maldives (Lohifushi). We didn't have any problem with the money. On our island we could get money at the reception desk with our creditcard whenever we wanted. So don't worry that you'll run out of cash!
BTW Maldives is absolutely beautiful. It has the real bounty effect!

Don't mean to hijack the thread but I was looking at the Hilton, for our honeymoon but they only do full board.

Would anyone suggest a different island resort (just as nice) with all inclusive, is it worth it?

we also looked at the Hilton but in the end we decided to go to Kuramthi Blue Lagoon resort. We're staying in a Water villa and have gone all inclusive and its actually worked out cheaper than the Hilton!

I've read lots of great reviews of the resort online - mind you most resorts in the Maldives seem amazing!

Im just back from Honeymoon in the Maldives, we went to Kuredu.. it was absolutely amazing.. so relaxing.. You dont need money over there, mabe some dollars to tip the room boy and bar staff.. Any extras that we got we just signed it to our room and we paid by credit card when we were leaving.

I would deffo reccomed Kuredu to anyone thinking of booking...
