I'm so excited - I still have loads to do but h2b and I took Aug off wedding stuff and looking forward to doing stuff for it again.

To date i've got my dress, BM dress, band, cake, reception, chapel, cars.............know what invites i'm going for just need to order them!!!!!


Haven't a clue about hair and veil and stuff - have bags a time for that though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No wont be doing a gift list but Roches or arnotts are good as they have a wide range Argos also do one

im getting married on the 5th May, i have most things done, dress got, church booked, per-marriage course organised! Ive booked the band, video, photos, flowers... i have to find a dj and deceide on what colour my bridemaids will be, although im letting her decide on that and ill work around whatever colour she picks!

I have been trying to get onto the Accord website to see the dates for the Pre-Marriage courses, but the website doesn't seem to be working :(

Anyone else having this problem?

i just tired accord website and its seems to be fine, www.accord.ie... depending where you live there are not many dates left for this year...im doing mine in killester!

I rang them yesterday to book my coarse for my location there booked out until christmas & they dont have any dates for next year yet.

She told me she would ring me back in January with the new dates that are available.

She said you go friday night from 7.30pm to 10pm & then Saturday 9.30 am to 4pm.

I was shocked it was both days I thought it was just saturday.

ya, the course is on 2 days in some places, the one im going to is firday evening and all day on saturday. there is one in terenure that is one day, but it just wasnt handy for me.

Try gettingmarried.ie , they should have a list of agencies, are you sure there is no dates left this year with accord, maybe you should try to do it in a different area.. :shock:

im just going to wait for her to contact me in january the one I rang is in the town where I live so would be handier than having to travel

suits me after xmas also cause next week Im only starting to look for my dress havent gone yet & then we are going on holidays for 2 weeks & have other bits & pieces to sort out & organising different thing u need all the saturdays you can free to go & look at stuff

she didnt say it was booked out in every town was just where im living

i know, once you get your dress your half way there, and you can relax a little!!! :lol:

i got mine about a month ago, in ballybofey, they had a huge collection, the lady in the shop pick the dress, she was listening to waht i liked and picked a fab dress from benjamin roberts.

all dresses in the magazines are totally different in real life, o just be warned!

I have made apt for next fri morning & then one for the afternoon in 2 different shops & then on the sat im going to another 2 different shops Im going on 2 weeks holidays at end of september so hoping to have my dress sorted by the time I go

good idea just go around them all, make you dresses you dont think you would like! i pick a dress with a fullish skirt( its not too big) but pretty!!

Ballybofey is in co donegal, its called mc elhinneys...its a bit far away!!!
