Not sure if this should be in here or in Let off Steam but I just want to complain cos my lovely h2b went to Lebanon for 6 mths yesterday and I'm gonna miss him sooooooooo much

Oh that is so sad. Get yourself a big calendar and start marking off the days in big red marker. That will help. Look sure one day can be marked off already! Keep yourself busy too while he's gone. |

thanks very much, i am keeping busy - i am doing an evening class in psychology and a home study course in anatomy and physiology and my sister has made me join her gym. i prob won't have time to miss him (yeah right!) |

My h2b is no longer in the army but he did do 2 terms of service in the leb. It will be hard but just keep thinking how fit he will look when he gets back - very tanned and perfect abbs!! |

i was just watching them all head off yesterday and thinking how hard it must be for the gfriends and wives etc..
my h2b commented that when they get back we will already be married!!
so look at it that way, 6 mts flys... _________________

No seriously, it must be very tough on you. Fair play to him for going though, someone has to do it. was it a case of volunteering to go or was his unit/group/ whatever you call it sent?_________________

it was a bit of both, he's a corporal and there aren't that many of them in his unit so they're badly needed to go over there. he loves it really and he' been there twice already so he knows what to expect but he was never with anyone the other times he's been away so he's finding it a bit tough.
i will miss him soo much but on the bright side he will save loads of money and then we can get a house next year when he comes back (fingers crossed) |

glad to hear it's going fast for you! my h2b was nrealy gonna go to kosovo until this trip came up. i can't wait til he's on leave, i'm just waiting to find out the dates so i can book flights!
I'm gonna go and meet him in cyprus cos it's so close and while i'm there book the church and reception etc! it's all a cunning plan............... |

Cool!! That will be so exciting!
My h2b is home in 2 weeks on leave and then he has another leave in Feb and we're gonna meet up in Oz-Can't wait!!
Its great the way they can keep in contact, this is his fourth trip away and each time it gets easier cos you get used to it!
Bet he misses you loads!! |

wow you're lucky he gets two lots of leave with the kosovo trip!
that's so cool that you're meeting up in Oz afterwards, we were there last year, it's great.
anyway, he better be missing me loads, i was all upset cos he forgot the photo of me i gave him to bring away but that's prob a bit silly of me... |
