foundations are going down next week so want to have some idea of how much to budget for the kitchen!!
was thinking of walnut with granite counter tops. Can anyone give me some tips on a rough estimate. Having an island but havent decided yet whether we are having our gas hob or sink in the island??
Any feedback is appreciated, thanks

granite tops are roughy 150 per ft.
Kitchens depend on if you want solid wood or veneered wood. We were quoted 6800 for oak kitchen not including appliances and had a formica counter

prices with kitchens vary soooo much . for hand painted oak we got quotes friom 6k - 30 k & granite from 1400 - 3700 but the cheaper ones were in the south & the dearer ones nearer to Dublin. We got a quote for walnut & granite in Trim & the walnut was 14k & granite 3.5K so still worked out much crazier prices than in Kerry!

would not go for a real wood top as there is huge maintanance on them

granite vary from 3k upwards

doing kitchen @ the mo seems to be 3,500 upwards i hear if some places in the north do fittings down here and are cheaper!

We got a quote for a kitchen yesterday for cash and carry kitchens, it's a walnut shaker styler kitchen with a famica top (which we will change to granite down the road, just money doesn't allow for it at the moment) We are also putting in an island unit to hold a range cooker and double up as a breakfast bar, the kitchen is about 27foot long with units on one wall only.
The quote was 4,680, and i asked how much would it be without the work top and it would only be 90 less!
