Girls, am close to ordering my kitchen and have been looking for ovens..Salesman who is also a friend has practically convinved me that we should get a single because of their energy rating which is A as opposed to B,C or D with double and also because he reckons we wouldnt get the use out of the top oven.What do ye think? _________________  |

The one I have has a top oven/grill. I've never used it as anything other than a grill.
For baking and roasting its always the main oven.. |

I would definately go for a double oven, at least that way you have an option! You can grill food and bake food at the same time. I know plenty of people with single ovens and they all curse them! _________________

I had a single oven in my first house - we are now buying a house together and I wouldnt dream of getting a single oven again, we have opted for a double Whirlpool oven.
Reason being, I often had roast veg/potato gratin etc in the oven and then wanted to grill steaks, made things quite tricky. I suppose each to their own but I always wanted a double oven! |

Definatly go for the double. As said already its great if you need to grill something while you have something else in the oven and also for when you need two different cooking tempretures. We use both on a regular basis. |
