Hi gals

Meant to post this last week but didn't get a chance. Had my hen in Belfast on the 21st and enjoyed it immensely.

Quick run through of what we did:
Train from Dublin - Belfast. Only way to travel, 50 return, comfy seats, clean train, on time. Very relaxed.
Madisons Hotel - Just perfect for 13 ladies. Rooms were lovely, clean and warm. Nice area. Bar/Restaurant attached so ideal for lunch, drink before night out and to finish off the night. Stayed open till around 4am!!!
Northern Whig - Big high ceilinged bar, think Market Bar in Dublin. Big groups very welcome and no issue about hen. Booked for 6.30 and had to be done by 8.30 due to other party arriving but gave us another area upstairs to finish wine and drinks.
Cafe Vaudeville - 5 min walk from restaurant. Very similar to Cafe en Seine decor wise. Music was ok, good mix but I was hoping for a bit more 80's stuff but sure you can't have everything. Get there early though. We walked in at about 9.10 thinking we'd be really early but place was fairly packed. Closes at 1.00 and you're out by 1.30ish but long enough really.

All in all Belfast is a great spot. Don't worry about the exchange rates it is definitly cheaper than Dublin. Great craic, taxi drivers are all lovely and no problem getting them.

So anyone thinking about it go for it. So sorry its all over now.

Red

Red - glad you had a good time. Belfast definitely isn't a bad spot. You went to all the right places anyway! There is one place that does more 80's style music, but it's full of students, so not sure if I would have recommended it. Now you have a fabulous wedding to look forward to!
