Morning,

I am at the stage where I would like to plan my hen. I am looking for a relaxing 24 - 48 hrs, that does not cost an arm and a leg. Maybe arrive somewhere at lunch time, have lunch, then a treatment, then a lovely dinner and then go drinking.

I dont want somewhere thats too isolated that there wont be crack in the pub/pubs at night time.

Maybe you know of some hotel that would do a package.

Looking forward to your suggestions.......

How about going to Carrick-on-Shannon and staying in the Landmark Hotel? There are 2 local beauty salons:

Enhance Health & Beauty Salon
Tel: 00 353 71 9623254
www.enhancehealthandbeauty.ie

Beauty by the Shannon
00 353 71 9622930

And the nightlife there is supposed to be really good. You could even do the Moon River cruise on the Saturday night for a laugh. This is what I want to do!

We went to The County Arms in Birr last weekend for my hen. They do Spa packages and it was really relaxing.
Would recommend it

Try Dunboyne Castle Hotel. They do excellent packages and they're not too far away...

Surely that depends on where you are?!

Temple Spa in Westmeath sounds like what you're after. Good central location too.

For something completely different, how about going out to Innisboffin (ferrys go from Cleggan outside Westport) and staying a night or two in Days Hotel and Spa?

The island itself is lovely to walk or cycle around and the pubs are good fun at night.
