Hi all?
Am just wondering if anybody else has been to a wedding where Carmel Dempsey played at the reception. What did ye think? Would love to hear your opinions.Thanks a million.

hi, I know there is another thread about the bands in the Galway area. Carmel got quite a few good recommendations. I saw her last year at a New Years Eve function and thought she was great.

She's very good

We snuck into a wedding to see her and I thought she was brilliant. We were there for about a half an hour and there was such variety. She really got the crowd going and the dance floor was full all the time. We booked her straight away. She has a website if you need more info.

Thanks to ye all. Aislinn C, Did she take a deposit off ye straight away. We wanted to book her for definite, (and after this for definite definite!) but she said she won't take a deposit till January. Would be happier to pay a deposit...

hi mollyg no she said the same to us and won;t take a deposit until January. I was a bit wary at first about this but then I just said ok.

Thanks Aislinn..hopefully she will work out for us, the hotel that we booked knew of her and said we should have no problems with her, it is an unusual policy though, the other bands were really insistent on getting deposits.

I know mollyg I was a bit surprised but the hotel also gave us a recommendation for her. Where are you getting married if you don;t mind me asking? At least is she is saying the same thing to everyone there is comfort in that. It is a strange policy but I guess its just her.
