Hey all!
Id like to get my band booked asap for my wedding in 2008 but theres so many out there i havent a clue where to start! Can anyone recommend a good lively band in a nd around the Louth area that plays loads good music to present and get the croud goin too!

Actually just emailed the Shakes! Never heard of them but there music list is very good. Merrymacs actually are recommended by our hotel the ballymac!

We are getting US, think their from Dundalk,
They play a bit of everything and suit the older
crowd as well as younger so might not suit,
there is loads of other ones you should go and
see a few of them. |

Our wedding is in Louth in 2008 as well! We haven't really thought about bands yet. Will probably look into it after Christmas but hopefully this thread will give me some ideas. Thanks Joanne! |

December07, can u recommend any other bands also. Heard of US alright but my friend has them for her wedding so dont want the same band etc, jus for that reason i dont want to get them.

hey joanne,
you booked ballymac, that's my venue too., what date are you? must say the shakes are very good, they played at brian mcfaddens wedding to kerry katona. but i've seen the merry macs loads of times, neva tried of them,they'll have the crowd on the floor the whole night _________________

Thanks for that rio! Think i might ring them later it they dont email me back this eve. Our weddings not for a while after yours....Sept 08!! Ull be having your wedding in the new reception then too! Plans look great dont they for the b'mac! Ive heard of both the shakes and merrymacs but hever actually heard them play! HOPFULLY theyll sent me a cd or somethin to listen to! |

Temptations: excellent, heard them before. (Navan area)
Just friends: also very good from (Ardee area)
Merrymacs as mentioned
Exchequer: from Drogheda area i think but will double check

december07, thanks a million for that! Gosh if ya wdnt mind passin on a few of them numbers thats be excellent! Temptations and excheqer please would be great. Just friend let my best friend down exactly a week before her weddin day, as u can imagine there was war, so cos of that id never even listen to them again! |

there are loads of bands based in dublin and surrounding areas who will travel to Louth for gigs. You could try Kaye Twins,long john jump band ,5th avenue , big jim farley. Look at the suppliers directory also,

I'm not sure if you'd like them but we had the Glenn Miller Legacy at our wedding in the Ballymac a few weeks ago. They were brilliant and everyone loved them. They play a mxiture of music- it's quite swing based. They're a 14 piece which is a spectacle in itself. I'm dying to see the dvd now to remember them! |
