Girls, would appreciate your opinions on same.
We moved into our first house a couple of months ago. My BIL to be's girlfriend has never really been nice to us, i think she thinks we are shite on the bottom of her shoe, anyway... she has been over 12 times (yes i counted!) to our house, the first two times she came, she marched in with samples for their house and compared to what i got. wooden floors tiles etc etc. Not once has she made a comment about how nice the place is, how well we've done, nothing at all. she came over last night again and himself was with her and i said do you like our new kitchen table which was only delivered and she pretended not to hear. now i went to their new house, and said to him, well done youve a lovely home etc and she bursts in and says its my house too... am i being paranoid in thinking shes a right cow???

She sounds really immature to be honest.
She is obviously jealous of your lovely home and she's the type of person who is constanly comparing what other people have. Everyone has different tastes, earning potential, spending ability etc The sooner she realises that the better.

You're not being paranoid. But if I were you I'd rest assured in the fact that you're a darn sight happier with your life than a person who constantly compares herself and her stuff to others. She sounds unhappy.

thanks girls, stupid me is letting her get me down, joleigh, love the pic!! i just think she is very jealous, she told me a year ago she would have her BF up that isle within 12 months just because he happened to mention at a wedding that they cost a bomb! he has absolutely no intetions of it ever! definitely jealous!

She's that jealous of you and what you have - she wants to be you and have what you have. People like this will never be happy with what they have and don't know the meaning of what is important in life. You should just let anything she does or says pass over your head and laugh inside at the way she behaves or else she will drive you totally insane and you will find yourself becoming like her in that you will always try and better her. People like her are always in total competition in life and always want one better than everyone else and then will boast about it and try and belittle you. You will never win against people like her and belive me you won't want to or you will never be happy. Appreciate what you have and does it really matter what other people think? Anyway you have to feel sorry for her if she is not content in life. Just go with the flow and try not to let her get to you. Belive me I have had this situation going on for the last 7 years and have learned not to let it get to me. Good luck.

I dont know the girl - but have to say you are NOT paranoid , on what you are saying....I wouldn't waste any more time thinking about her...sounds like a complete B !!!!

i have a sil to be like that , she a right cow, makes me feel so uncomfortable in my own house, never comments on anything, its only a new house and my first so even when i got my new sofa and dining roon table and chairs she never commented, got a beautiful canvas for living room , you couldnt help but miss it , never commented, she has no house herself so im just after accepting the fact that shes jealous!!!
asked me another time what colour was i painting the front door, its red and i like it red, i was like "im going to kill you " but after numerous sessions of counselling with my best friend ive decided its defn just a case of the green eyed monster!!

I feel sorry for her. The girl has some serious, serious issues going on. She mustn't be very happy if she has to spend all her time showing off her "stuff", and how much they have.

You are definitely not paranoid at all, she has a definite case of the Green Eyed Monster. She is obviously trying to out do you to make herself look better. I know it can be hard but I really would try not ot rise to her as that is probably what she is looking for.

When she sneezes does she say haaa chooo or haaa mooo.....
