Style
We shoot in a discreet, reportage style. We won't ask you to pose and we won't blind you with lights. Event Video aim to capture the atmosphere of the day so we tend to concentrate on observing people's natural enjoyment of the celebration. Our shooting style is inspired by reportage photography and filmmaking. Our editing style is contemporary. We like to be innovative yet elegant, what we don't make are 'corny' wedding videos.
Options
We offer two main options that can be adapted to our clients' tastes. We can begin coverage at the bride's home or at the church, and we can continue filming as late as midnight. Both options offer designed DVDs that can include the wedding film with chapter points, personalised menus and also a slideshow of up to 50 photographs. DVDs allow us to create a finished product that we know people can enjoy rewatching with complete ease, so we put time into designing them! We offer 5 copies of the video on DVD/VHS as part of our package - we don't charge extra. Visit us at our website to order a copy of our showreel or to view samples online.
Background & Equipment
We understand the technology of digital video and know how to shoot to its strength as a format. Our training is in multimedia (M.Sc. in multimedia systems), where we specialised in digital technologies, specifically audio visual recording and editing. We use Canon (XL1S) digital video cameras with Tiffen 'Film Look' filters. Our new equipment for this season includes a wireless microphone system and small on-camera lights for very low light conditions.

Unlike some suppliers who seem to take ages to reply to emails/calls, from the point of initial enquiry to the delivery of the dvd, he has always been very professional and friendly to deal with. I would be the first to admit that I am a slight control freak and attention to detail is a big thing with me (my other half would probably phrase it less politely!) but Emmet was very patient and willing to include any ideas we had.
The dvd looks great, is well edited and really captures the feeling of the day for us. We chose most of the music for the dvd ourselves but the music that Emmet added was also very suitable unlike many of the sample dvds we received (and we saw a lot!).
As we live in the UK and had not met Emmet before the day, we took a bit of a risk that it might not work out well but I am so pleased that we decided to use his services and would highly recommend him to others. We were not sure initially if we would bother with a videographer as there are so many costs with organising a wedding. However, having seen the dvd, I am really glad that we did as it is something we will always have as a reminder of a brilliant day."
