Whether performing as a jazz duo, trio, 4-piece/5-piece band, The Best Men are the most sophisticated, up to date and professional groups on the scent and the ideal option for your wedding day.

The Best Men provide all of the following services:

 

Drinks Reception

For an air of refinement, the band offer experiences and accomplished jazz musicians to perform classical instruments, adding to the sense of occasion and providing the right ambiance. The group can comprise of saxophone, piano, double bass, drums or any combination thereof.

A solo pianist is also available; to play a selection of musical styles, including soft/light jazz, light classical and pop, depending on your preference.

 

 

Later That Night

For a lively reception, The Best Men band cater for all ages and tastes, performing the greatest songs from the 60’s, 70’s 80’s and 90’s as well as popular chart hits. They cover artist such as Amy Winehouse, Elvis Presley, Kings of Leon, The Jacksons, Mika, Frank Sinatra, The Killers, Bee Gees, Queen and The Beatles. All four members of the band are full-time professional musicians with decades of performance experience between them.

 

In The Wee Small Hours

The Best Men’s DJ plays from an extensive music library and is expert in sequencing the night’s music, to ensure guests stay on the dance floor. If required, clients may advise the DJ before the event, to focus on preferred areas or genres of music during the playlist, and of course, he is very happy to take requests on the night.

  • We got married in February 2009 in the Mount Wolseley Hotel, Carlow and The Best Men provided a jazz duo for our pre-reception plus the band and dj for the reception. They were absolutely fantastic. They had the dancefloor packed for the entire night and we've heard rave reviews from our guests about how brilliant the band were. I was so tired the next day because I didn't want to leave the dancefloor - the music was just so good. Looking back on our DVD now I see people dancing that would never have danced before. We had a few special requests and the band played every single one of them. Booking with Niamh was a dream. She was so easy to deal with.   • Hi there, We were married on 15th March, 2008 and we had a perfect day. Our reception was brilliant and since we have returned from Honeymoon the talking point is 'The Best Men'. They absolutely rocked, literally. The dance floor was packed from the time they started, so much in fact some of our guests had to move tables to create a second dance area! From the day we booked the Best Men Niamh took care of everything, and on the day the guys played fantastic music catering for all ages, ensuring the music was varied but popular. We had some specific requests and they were catered for - no questions asked. So Niamh and The Best Men, thanks again for making our Special Day extra special, and our reception one to remember.   • I just want to recommend The Best Men to all the brides on here. I found them brilliant. Niamh was fantastic to deal with and all the guys were great. The dance floor was full from the first song they played, and stayed full all night. I'd never seen that at a wedding before. Everyone loved them and were talking about them afterwards. Like a lot of brides, I had given them a list of instructions (Bridezilla moment!!!) and they did everything I asked, without even needing a reminder. My sister has now also booked them for her wedding. They are FANTASTIC !!!

  • We had a gread wedding day, thanks in part to the "Best Men", and a fab honeymoon. Anyway, we were absolutely delighted and thrilled with the Best Men, they were a pleasure to deal with and had the dance floor packed all night. The jazz duo were also excellent. Most of our guests commented on how great the band were!!! I dont think i have ever commented on any band that i saw at a wedding!!! Jonathan & the guys were true professionals who read the crowd well and knew exactly what mix to play to keep the dancefloor packed all night. I could't believe it when i saw aunts & uncles, who never graced the dancefloor at other weddings i was at, dancing and having a ball on the dancefloor at our wedding!!!The dj set was also brill as johnathan included lots of songs i had requested and they seemed to go down well. Without a doubt, i will be highly recommending the Best Men to all my friends and colleagues getting married in the future. In addition to their imense talent, the platinum package which we chose for our wedding was probably, the best decision we made regarding the day itself. I wish you and the guys all the best in the future Niamh, and thank you for being such a pleasure to deal with. Our special day wouldn't have been the same without the band!!
