DIY Projects you'll Love

Cupcake flags, cork guest card holders, bottle labels and more. Download the free templates and get sticky! By Karen Birney

DIY Cork Escort Card Holders

I saw this idea on an American wedding blog about a year ago and loved it straight away. I love that it gives a warm and rustic feel to a wedding even before guests take their seats! What's better about it is it's so simple to do. Since myself and himself have a certain 'fondness' for wine, and we had been keeping the corks in two big vases either side of our fireplace, I decided to give this little project a shot over the weekend. All you have to do is cut your corks in half and make a little slit at an angle at the top to fit your cards in! Simples! Star collecting your corks now, it's a great excuse...

DIY Cupcake Flags

This little whimsical DIY project is one of my faves. I downloaded the template for the flags from Ruffled, one of our favourite indie-type blogs and just used some Prit Stick to glue them around some toothpicks and badabing. Kitsch-tastic. Click here for the template.

DIY Mustaches

Another big trend in weddings is little extras like mustaches, which are perfect for adding a little bit of fun to a photobooth. I downloaded the templates for the 'taches here. I just glued them to a shaved down chopstick and took some funny photos (not included due to head being in a state).

DIY Bottle Labels

I'll be attempting this and another few other projects sometime this week, will let you know how it goes.
