Ireland’s WeddingsOnline and Confetti UK tie the knot!
The leading Irish weddings website WeddingsOnline.ie (WOL) has completed a significant equity investment in the UK's largest wedding supplies web retailer and marketing business, Confetti.co.uk.
The deal sees WeddingsOnline subscribe for a 25 percent stake in Confetti and two WOL directors, MD Peter Bryans and Finance DIrector Robert Truesdale, will join the Confetti board and direct strategy to maximise opportunities in the UK wedding media market.
The WeddingOnline.ie board was advised by Grant Thornton corporate finance and Declan Tormey, ICT Specialist at Lemans Solicitors, provided legal advice.
Peter Bryans, CEO of WeddingsOnline, said: “WeddingsOnline has done great things in the Irish wedding media market and we’re looking forward to working with Confetti, to strengthen the businesses on both sides. We are very excited about bringing our experience to an already established brand and to seeing what can be achieved in the much larger UK market.”
