After her 2008 declaration; "I think to put the Versace line in H&M would confuse the brand", Donatella Versace has done a somewhat embarrassing U-turn on her ever-present six inch heels and gone hell-for-leather for H&M's collaboration du jour (I suppose the recession has to hit everyone eventually eh?) Announced in July this year, the countdown is now surely on with the Versace for H&M collection face-planting itself in stores and online on the 17th of this month, and if it's anything like H&M's previous collabs (with Karl Lagerfield, Stella McCartney, Commes des Garcons and, most recently, Lanvin, to name but a few) you won't be getting your hands on any of it!
I'm kidding, of course you can, you're just going to have to think fast and buy hard if you want a piece.

A babydoll black dress reminisces on last year's Christopher Kane for Versus' (Versace's little sister line) it dress, while a creamy leather jacket and hard leather figure-hugging dress are very much now (and, in my opinion, will age the best). All would be PERFECT knock-out Hen Night outfits. Now here's the funny thing: I don't like Versace. I know, I know, you'd think with a penchant for all things fur and garish (I wear pink feather eyelashes more often than I probably should) that it would be right up my alley, but I was never into the gold handbags and questionable prints that reminded me of old ladies night in Santa Ponsa. But get this: I like this collection.
Hang on. I love this collection. And I want it all now.
Don't even get me started about the fur gillet.
