Irish Designer Week: Stacey Hannan Designs

By Features Editor, Amy Croffey. Stacey Hannan is a bridal accessories designer working in the Irish wedding industry. Her signature style is hand beading and her most popular designs are flowers and bows for brides and their bridesmaids.

Stacey Hannan fell head-over-heels in love with all things fashion and accessory related when she attended the National College of Art and Design. With a degree in embroidery under her very stylish belt, she knew that the bridal industry was where she wanted to work.

Her jewellery designs are always changing, using her signature style of hand beading, particularly flowers and bows.

“I love to make, and have great fun adapting and coming up with new designs,” says Stacey. “They are always timeless and can be worn on a bride’s wedding day and for every occasion, big or small, after that.”

Bespoke

Stacey’s clients love and appreciate the time and effort she puts into creating their bespoke, special piece and often come back for more.

“Since brides have gone to all the trouble of finding "the dress", why stop there when you can have some amazing hair accessory to go with it?” she says. “Everyone has their own perfect style. Look for something that you like and that suits you and the rest will all fall into place.”

Stacey believes that the majority of people like to buy Irish when they can but it is all down to their choice.

When it comes to materials, she supports small Irish businesses in Ireland as best she can, but sometimes she has no choice but to buy abroad as some of her materials are not available here.
