Now that the dust has settled and everyone has recovered from the three day celeb packed party, here are some details from the day from Milhigh, who played the couple's night through.

Milehigh were delighted to be chosen by Daithi and Rita for their wedding in Tralee and the guys were one of the most relaxed couples we have dealt with! Both are very easy going people, they just wanted their guests to be looked after and for everyone to have a great time.

The band arrived at The Carlton Hotel, Tralee at 2pm to set up early, do our sound check and get prepared for the day. Once that was done we could set up our equipment for the arrivals reception which was the first part of the entertainment package for the day. The reception started at 3.30pm and we played until guests were called to dinner at 5pm. We performed a four Piece Instrumental Set for the arriving guests and included some Jazz and Instrumental Classics.

After the dinner was completed we assisted the Irish Dancers with their music and once finished the band took to the stage at 11.30pm. For their first song Daith and Rita chose "Feels Like Home" by Chantal Kreviazuk. The band performed the song fully live and was sung by Sandra to warm applause by the crowd. After the first song Rita had requested "If I Shall Fall Behind" by Bruce Springsteen as her Father-Daughter song. During this song Daith had a dance with his Mam as well.

After the first two slow songs it was party time and the band kicked into action with some up tempo floor fillers to get everyone out dancing. A mixture of some old school rock and roll and some modern classic were played to get everyone energised and up on the dance floor!

We played until about 12.45am and then took a break for tea and for Daithi's dad Maidhc to entertain the audience with his own trad band. They were very good and kept everyone entertained during the break. After that there was also a young troupe of Irish Dancers that performed for about 20 minutes and were excellent and had everyone on their feet taking pictures.

Once back on, the band played a mixture some Irish, Rock and Roll and some very Modern Music. Everything from Adele and Florence & The Machine to Snow Patrol and some Guns and Roses (Daithi is a real GNR fan. Who would have known?!) We ended the night at 2.30am with "River Deep Mountain High" and then it was over to DJ Brian. Off to bed for us and back the next day to pack up the gear. More weddings Friday and Saturday as the Milehigh Train keeps on rolling!
