New guy on the scene

New guy on the scene

Postby Lipikar » Wed May 02, 2022 4:51 pm

Hi there,

Looking for some opinions on my current situattion please, head is a wee bit frazzled!

Met a lovely guy online just over two and a half months ago, talked daily online for about a month before we met and then on the phone a couple of times before the first date. First date was brilliant, much better than expected! He really undersold himself online for want of a better phrase! Anyhow to cut a long story short we had numerous dates and have stayed over with each other a few times. Last weekend was the first time we didn't see each other as he was in the UK. Up to now it really has been him initiating most of the contact, I'm not saying i hvn't been the first to ring or txt but the majority of the time it's been him. Since the weekend though it's been me initiating it and today I just logged in online and notice that his dating profile is still active and he was last logged in yesterday!! Heart sank a bit when I saw that coz i really like this guy.

So question for u .... Do u think it's still acceptable for him to hv his online account as in fairness it's still early days? Or do u think it's possible that he cd've logged in to see was my account active?????

I hv a tendency to over think thinks so all opinions would be welcome

Tks

hey im not sure how to advise you but id say its very early days for him to be deleting his account, take things slow and enjoy it,maybe since he is doing alot of the contacting, he might feel you arent as interested and he is keeping his options open... its very early days yet, just enjoy it and dont over think things if you can :yelrotflmaosmilie:

It's early days and he is probably keeping his options open, like you should be doing to. He doesn't necessarily want to put all his dating eggs in one basket, so to speak. It doesn't mean he doesn't feel a spark with you but if joined the dating site he obviously wants to cast a wider net. It isn't an expereince either of you should be trying to get out of it, iykwim. Just because you or he meets someone they click with doesn't mean that's it and the search is over. Enjoy the buffet on offer! Give it time and obviously if you are still seeing each other in weeks/months time discuss exclusivity with him.

So you're allowed to have your account active, but he's not? Cut the guy some slack. Best of luck with the relationship, he sounds like a keeper :heartbeat:

Relax, stop over thinking. What will be will be. Show him some interest, let the relationship move on for the next couple of months and when you are in a more serious place then ask questions.

Enjoy it and have fun x
