Hi Everyone

I am wondering what to do about the toast? I am between a choice of drink for everyone or a champagne toast. What are u all doing?

we are going to have a champagne toast or rather a cava toast -we are buying our own and paying corkage as it works out much cheaper and the cava is lovely as have had it many times before :)

we're having a champagne toast, but people can have a drink of choice if they prefer.

Sparkling wine toast - we fear getting ripped off on the drink of choice (have been told to keep a v. close eye if going for that option by a friend who works in hospitality), so it's easier to keep track of the amount of bottles opened than having to go check a receipt for 150 drinks approx!

Personally I prefer fizz anyway, so a winner all round!

The Manager from our hotel was very helpful on this, we were going to give a toast and he said he feels its an awful waste of money and that because people are on wine for the meal, they order pints and dont drink half of them or they order double shots, he said there can be alot of waste. He suggested that once they have something in front of them to toast you with, they dont need a different drink, thus I think we will go with a top up on the wine.
