Inspired by this thread i've done alot of DIYing for my wedding. Here is a pic of my DIY wedding shoes, i've been warned by previous friends that comfortable shoes are extremely important on your wedding day so based on this i decided to jazz up my trusty pair of comfortable rainbow club shoes! I know they may not be to everyones taste but i :heartbeat: them!!

Hey ladies - posted this in old faithful, but no response. Hopefully ye crafty lot will be able to give me some advice on doing a brroch bouquet.....

Hey girls

Just wondering how ye are doing if any of you are making brooch bouquets. I've started to do mine following instructions on fancypants. Now, I only have a few 'flowers' done but when I put it together i'm not sure about it. I know i'm gonna need a lot of patience.

If u've done one, or are in the process, how are you getting on and how many 'flowers' did u have done before it started taking real shape??

Any hints/ tips appreciated!!

Thanks

Seeings as my shoes got such a good response on here im now brave enough to show my DIY Unity Candles - I've a damask and pink theme going on! I really wish there was a seperate DIY forum on here as i feel that all the work that goes into each DIY project they deserve there own thread rather than been jumbled into one thread!

Swweetcheeks I'm making my own brooch bouquet but I'm slightly cheating, I'm doing a one day course where I'll be supplied with everything I need to make it. Its costing a bit but I think it will be worth it. I'm doing it next month so I'll let you know how it goes.

MyGirlLollipop, your shoes look absolutely fantastic, well done, brilliant job! The candles are beautiful too, do you mind me asking how you did them? I want to do mine too.

+1 on a seperate DIY thread - I know for a fact that there are fab pictures of brooch bouquets on here somewhere, because I spent one Saturday going through the whole lot - wish to god it could be divided up into Bouquets, Invites, Candles, etc. Maddening trying to find anything.

Would you use 6x4 photographs and put them into little frames? You can get lovely ornate-looking frames in any euro shop, I saw lovely table names on a site a while ago & they were framed in really cute little frames, looked so pretty. Unfortunately I've looked at so many sites over the last week that I can't find it in my history to show you O:|

You could make a little banner from ordinary paper/card with the place name on it, and pop it in the frame with the picture, I think it'd be gorgeous.

I'm doing it in Kays School of Floristry in Dublin. Its €350 for the day but that includes all materials, approx 30 brooches in whatever colours you want. They are very accommodating too, I couldnt make the scheduled date so they let me pick a day and do a 1 on 1 class. Heres a link

Hope this helps
