 We wanted a winter wedding and that started the ball rolling for us. I love winter and christmas... We originally had a christmas wedding booked but last week changed our date and we could only get a date in Jan so we went with that. If you have a particular month or time of the year that you both like, work around that! Or you could just look at a particular venue and see what offers they give at certain times of the year. Hi ladies,
One consideration to bear in mind if you are considering a wedding in November, December or January is the timing of the wedding ceremony. Remember if you are intending having outside photographs at that time of year (weather permitting), it gets fairly dark outside by 4pm so a ceremony time any later than 1-1.30pm may be pushing it a little for natural light photos after the ceremony. We have our First meeting with priest tonight and I have myself up in a heap over it!! What will I be like on the day!!!

Its great to see everybody so busy,
has anyone else started to get the paperwork end of the big day done? registering intent,getting release forms etc etc.. All i have got is "ah sure you have loads of time come back to us in a few months" but im hear now and want to get it out of the way! uh  .. just wondering if anybody has gotten success on doing this early.. even priest wont meet with us!

I havent spoken to the priest since i booked the wedding and that was over the phone, im getting married 15th March 2013. Should i be meeting him by now. I hate when people say well sure you have loads of time, im a freak who likes to be organised and have everything done well in advance and the waiting around drives me mad

Just added mine (I'm sure that should really say 'ours', shouldn't it?!) to the list. June 1st 2012. So excited!! Can't tell anyone yet though - we've done the booking (hotel & church) and put a deposit on the ring, but H2B is adamant that we're not engaged yet as he hasn't officially proposed! Think I may burst if I don't tell someone soon!!

GOT MY DRESS GOT MY DRESS!!! Thanks for the advice about going shopping without my mam girls!! Thought I would just browse but fell in love with a dress in Memories Bridal in Dublin (would highly recommend it) and put a deposit on the dress!! My mam is delighted I found it and can't wait to get up to see it once she's better!!! Super excited now!!!

Strangest thing though - I was also in at memories bridal in dublin today too and also put down a deposit on a dress!! I was just like you - thought I'd be in browsing only and ending up buying! it's a great store and the staff were lovely.
