what date are you in May???? Cant believe its almost a year out now. I remember you from other posts and was hoping for the heads up on the run up to the big day from you but it looks like i wil be that for you now :yelrotflmaosmilie:

We're the week after you Bride 2012 (in fact I wanted to May bank holiday weekend like we had this year but looks like you got it!)

Have to say that they have been great so far with all the organising, I was due to be the first civil ceremony there so had been in contact with Katie a lot to arrange the place being vetted for civil ceremonies. Also when we found out I was pregnant and wanted to move the date they were super accomodating...... I should have been getting married on the 29th of April this year. Had to believe I could be in the throws of organising a wedding instead of ordering cots and bottles!!

Looking forward to getting back on the wedding organising buzz though :o)ll

when are people starting to look for their dresses and where are you looking? ive made appointments for June - must start dieting after the Easter eggs. i havent a notion on what i want!

I have no idea why but I'm a bit scared of going dress shopping! I hate having a fuss made!

Me too! my mum also has completely different taste to me and is quite blunt...im worried shes going to persuade me in to getting something that as soon as i get home im going to hate!

I'm 5th May too girls :wv

, cant believe it is almost only 12 months away! Havent got much done compared to all of you though, only venue, church, priest, band, DJ, wedding singer and family making cake. Have an idea on cars, dress and suits though and have picked a colour for BMs dresses which friends of mine have said is the hard part! Seriously need to get oragnised with other stuff too, looking at photographers and videographers at the mo and its a bit tedious to be honest!

I live abroad so think Im going to try loads of dresses on myself to get an idea of what I want, Im EXTREMELY fussy, then mom and sis can come over and will only have to see the shortlist!! Wouldnt want them to get too bored bout the whole thing yet! :yelrotflmaosmilie:

oh my god girls i started this off, last time i checked they were only a few, now it seems like loads are getting married in may 2012 :o)ll

last thing iv done for while is booked the band, booked wavelength, went looking at dresses there last week it was a sale tried on one dress that was ok, my sister tried to make me buy it but i just like'd it not love if ye get me :eek

iv takin a break now for while am building a house too, so its stressful enough with that and wedding, :-8

What are ye doing for favours or are ye doing them at all? also got price for 3 tier cake for €300 is that good?

That sounds like a really good quote. the one i think i am going to go for is €500. loads of them seem to be about €600! bloody expensive for a cake.

Hi May ladies!

My date is 5th May! So excited, we've booked the venue/ church/ Band & DJ/ hair/ Flowers & make up. I've sent out for quotes for church music/ cars & wedding cakes and leaving invites till Jan 2012!

Im not doing favours but putting a photobooth in the reception so everyone has a momento!

I've also been dress shopping - have been to 4 places already and completedly tired of it - the worst thing going with your mother is the different tastes :duh:

Think i have the dress but the cost is scaring me most cause I have fallen in love with a de stafford couture dress but will see.

Bridesmaids dresses this summer but thinking of getting them from the states.

Im getting married in Tipperary but am a Dub so trying to source alot from down there altho end up looking at Dublin based suppliers....

Hey girls im also getting married on the 5th may 2012 getting married in st Mocthas church having reception at Finnstown house! we only just decided to book wedding a few weeks ago! went dress shopping last week 1st shop about 3rd dress and fell in love with it going to drag myself to other shops this week! my sis due 1st baby in sept so cant get bridesmaid dresses til after that! dont have anyything else done compared to the rest of ye! just back from maternity leave myself so im so busy with work,2kids and planning wedding going to be a mad year! :o)ll

just knocked another thing off the list this morning - church music am thrilled!!

we seem to have booked everything so far with no fuss! we looked at a couple of hotels but only one seriously, knew we were going for my home church, same photographer as my sister cos he was amazing. To pick the band we probably spent an hour looking at bands on the internet and went to see 2 different ones and loved the second one. the church music fell into my lap because of a thread started on here last night. everything just seems to be going so smoothly! no hassle and instant decisions been made. love it!
