hi dalton to be i got my flowergirls dress in tkmaxx prob can be a bit hit and miss in there but is worth a look esp if ur on a low budget like me!!!! iv become a master of negotation the past few months!! how are things coming along if u need any help pm me and il do my best to help! us low budget gals gotta stick together!!

Good week loveofmylife!

Got heaps done last week too.
Invites all sent out and first reactions to them great! (we went with caricatures and was delighted with how they turned out, they really reflect us!)
Suits for groomsmen and Dad bought on Saturday (buying as a gift for them)
Wedding rings ordered
All church paperwork finalised and finished
Wedding umbrellas bought (just in case)
Prosecco sorted

Just wanted to ask you about what prosecco you chose. I know nothing about sparkling wines and prosecco and have been looking at different online sites and still dont know what to choose for reception drinks??

First of all welcome Dalton to be- my wedding twin! We've less than 4 months to go now!

Thanks for the reassurance loveofmylife! You're absolutely right- taking each job as it comes and so here I am posting to say our invites are going out this morning!!! :o)ll

Seriously anyone who's making their invites fair play to you. We ordered ours and had FSIL calligraphy the names on and print up address labels and it still took 3 hours for us to check through them all and put in our inserts with details for the day. Head was wrecked by the end with h2b and I snapping at each other when one of us was paying more attention to the Apprentice than the job in hand! All done now though and I'm delighted with them. Feeling all very real now!

Hi girls, haven't posted here in a while but love keeping up with it!
Wedding is 18th August. Can't wait now!
My dress came in yesterday so I'm going to try it on in the morning!!! Haven't seen it since November!!!
Got flower girl dresses from rococlothing.co.uk. £20 each, free delivery and arrived in a week. Saw the website on a thread recently.

Have personalised 6 pack of Heineken for h2b and think they're fab! Also great at €30.
You sound like u have great presents for grooms. I got star wars cufflinks too Have to think of a few more things to add

Getting there now, might start writing invited this weekend because the list keeps growing!! Dreading the table plan!

Got suits sorted today! Nearly couldnt breath and nearly started crying h2b looked so great! Made it all so real! So excited! Cannot recommend Lapel in Cork for suits enough! Great service!

Gasher26, thanks for the wonderful Idea of the personalised bottles of Heineken. I just ordered them, they are unreal. I was gonna put whiskey in the gift box but H2B really doesn't drink Whiskey so the Heineken is a much better idea and he'll have one to share with the best man and groomsmen. They'll love them, so thanks for that.

I had another successful week this week.

I ordered my Veil. Picked out my jewellery, now all I have to do is buy it.
Bought Feather Pen
Started making the invites and I'm getting through them much quicker than I had expected and boy do I love them!!

Hair & Make up Trials this weekend.

Still haven't met the priest, He is impossible to get on the phone so I must try and meet him after mass some day soon.

Received the invite to my hen night, so I can't wait for that!!

Next on my list: Bridesmaids gifts, haven't a clue what to get them, Meet the hotel to go through details for the day.

Is there anything else Obvious I should be doing?

No problem! In fairness, i think it was another Wollie mentioning them that gave me the idea! they turned out great tho and i can't wait to give them too him.

Picked up my dress today, still love it thank God!

Hi girls,
I haven't been on in a while! I have just under 3 months til the big day now! I was panicking a couple of weeks ago but I got a few things sorted and then felt on top of it again.
I've sent out almost all my invites... We've been getting replies already which is so exciting! We've added a few more to the list now though so I have a few more invites to write. And I didn't order enough so some people will be getting extra special homemade invites instead

We still don't have the mens suits organised. My h2b says he wants to wait a bit longer as he wants to lose some weight! So I hope that'll work out!
We have to meet the Priest soon and go through the ceremony with him. H2b needs to get his paprework sorted first. I got mine during the week.
Oh, the surprise box for h2b? I never even thought of something like that! I was thinking I'd give him a card but it would really be great to give him something extra. That's something else to go on my to do list now!
Still on my list are:
Childcare
Mens suits
Outfit for our two
Meeting with Priest (organise the ceremony)
Meeting with hotel (menu tasting!)
Underwear and shoes
Alterations for my dress
Stag do - not my department but poor h2b has to re-organise his as his brother couldn't make the original date.
Cake - going to ask some family to do a tier each and I might even do the top one.
Honeymoon - although we are hoping to just book something last minute.
Surprise for h2b

Thanks girls... well just back and feeling very delicate!! Had an amaaaaazing weekend and feeling quite sad, in one way, that's it's over. But, wow what fun. My bridesmaids really outdid themselves. They did a vintage champagne afternoon tea party, bags for all the girls with fab survival kits (Ted Baker moisturiser, Sexy mother pucker lip gloss, soap willie, paracetamol. choc, badges etc personalised with my name and date etc. They were brill!)

We went for dinner and clubbing the first night and the second night we stayed in. I thought we were just having a house party but they presented me with the most amazing memory book with pages written by different friends from all around the world. They had done a photo storybook for me as well. I got underwear, toys from Ann Summers, nightwear, games!!, Decleor relaxing gift set, Mr and Mrs eggcups etc etc. They also got me a voucher for the spa at the hotel where we're getting married!! They were so thoughtful. It was incredible.

But the most amazing present was a Butler in the Buff. >:o)

I nearly died when he walked in to the house we were staying at... he was gorgeous!! We had him for about 3 hours. We also had to pin the willy on a superimposed picture of H2B's face on a model!! Plus they'd arranged a Mr & Mrs quiz where they'd emailed H2B for all his answers and then laminated the questions and answers on hearts for me to keep. The whole thing was unreal. I'm still drooling over the naked butler. :innocent:

I don't know how I'll ever thank them. :lvs

You lucky girls with it all still to happen! (Although I do have another hen do booked in Ireland (as this was in England!) so I am on the countdown to that... 4 weeks to go :yelrotflmaosmilie:

Mines in 3weeks cannot wait, just spent d day shopping for it! Purchased 3days worth of new outfits! Screw it my first shopping splurge since Xmas!
