I think its nice. It wouldn't be my style but it is really nice - I like the print on it.

If you were to wear it to a wedding then I would put some gold metalic accessories with it or pale pink shoes and bag to tone it down a little!

If you're comfortable in it and like it yourself then its bound to look fab on!! :)

Two guests at our wedding wore quite similar styles/colours to that dress- I would think it would be lovely to wear as a guest.

Personally, I would be pretty unimpressed if a guest wore that or something like it at our wedding...but then again I'm doing an all-neutral colour scheme of ivories, creams, beiges, antique gold (with my bms in ivory lace knee length dresses)etc so it would be coning from the PoV that it would be very matchy to the wedding party itself...

I do think you open yourself up to criticism if you do wear a white/off white dress to a wedding but if you're thick skinned then go for it! Its a lovely dress and I'm sure youll look fabulous!! :-)

It's a fabulous dress and definitely you should wear it to a Wedding. It's metallic and gorgeous.

Why wouldn't you? It's so chic.

If you were to go by the code of some I really don't know what colour anyone should go for.

Everyone of them has a conintation.

It's gorgeous and if it suits you and you feel comfortable in it, go for it.

It's not remotely bridal and I hate this crap of not being "allowed" to wear light colours to a wedding. For god's sake, you'd hardly be mistaken for a Bride or Bridesmaid in that dress. I think it's gorgeous and very appropriate.

Add some kick-a$$ bright shoes and accessories and you're good to go. The only thing that I would ever consider to be inappropriate for a guest at a wedding is a full-length wedding dress :o0

So what if it was similar to the wedding colour scheme? You're not going to be standing on the altar with the bridal party OR sitting at the top table. Wear it. It's gorgeous.

On the one hand, the other poster is correct, this isn't going to be mistaken for a wedding dress. So if you love it and have no other dress, then wear it and maybe put some bright accessories with it.

On the other hand, the fact you put the question up shows that you realise that this dress could be considered wedding dress colour and could be commented on. Whether thats by the bride herself or some crabby wedding guests, i don't know. You'd konw the bride better.

If someone came on my day wearing that, i would probably give it a second look, think what was she thinking, and then forget about it.

But that's only my personal view. I think if you look around a wedding recepition, you should always be able to pick out the bride by being the only whitish colour dress in the room. But thats just me.

I've been to weddings where guests wore white / cream knee lenght dresses. I was even at a wedding last month where the sister of the groom wore a light couloured cream / goldy dress. Would never be mistaken as a wedding dress but i would kill my sister if she arrived in that. In the pictures, the bride should be the focus of the picture and if you have somebody else in white, then that focus is diluted a bit.

So what i'm saying is that this dress is on the line. If you are the bride's sister / friend. Stay clear as if she is the type to notice, then it will be noticed. But if your the grooms cousin or a workmates's partner, then i really wouldn't worry too much.

Its silver not ivory or white and its a short dress - its unlikely that anyone will mistake you for the bride. Its nice btw but you would need some contrasting accessories.

I would never wear that to someone elses wedding. It's too light and I have talked to brides who have been very upset that people have worn dresses like that to their weddings. If you are attention seeker then by all means wear that dress but I wouldn't. There are plenty available that are not a that light in colour.
