Hi girls
Im June too, have most bits done except the dresses, church music and cake and honeymoon.
we are thinking of not having a typical wedding cake coz we dont like the idea of getting up cutting the cake in front of everyone so thinking we will get chocolate biscuit cake and have the hotel cut it up and bring it out with the teas and coffees.
cant decide on church music, we would have loved a gospel choir but none in Mayo from what I have searched....not sure where to go looking from here!!
have been dress shopping and after about 4 shops i think i have it found but going to dinagh modes in castlerea in July to see her 2013 dresses. she was brill when we went to her the first time.looking into the honeymoon too but not having much joy with the travel agents...i know we are way in advance but its taking months to get ideas of prices even from them. hoping to do Oz and NZ in 5 weeks.
so, where are ye with everything?? :)

Hi, getting married in June 2013 as well! We have church and priest booked, venue booked and cake is being sorted by a family member. Seems like other people have a lot more done than we have! My H2B thinks I'm mad to be doing anymore at the moment.

June 2013 bride too. So far we have booked:

Church
Church music
Photographer
Flowers
Hotel
Had a band provisionally booked but wasn't impressed when we heard then.

Next step is dresses for myself and bridesmaids. Going to rent cars instead of doing wedding car thing and must sort out the cake. Know exactly what I want for invites, doing most of it ourselves so going to start buying the bits now.

I'm a june 2013 bride too

Have any other june brides thought about honeymoons yet? we've going to start talking to travel agents in the next few weeks, but we don't really have any clue where to go, other than somewhere sunny and interesting. doesn't seem to be the best month weather-wise to go on honeymoon!

Next big job is the dress .... Didn't think when I booked this date about the next wedding dresses coming n later in the Yr so don't know if I should wait or not??

Thanks Bellee, sounds like we should wait a bit longer so before going into talk to travel agents!

I don't think it'll hurt to start looking now for dresses - even if just to get an idea of what suits you - then if you don't find 'the one' you know you'll have a whole new season of dresses to pick from.

Just found this thread! Can't believe I have less than a year to go now :)

So far we've got
Church
Venue
Band
Car - comes with the hotel deal
DJ - my cousin
Photographer - another cousin
Cake - my talented friend
Church music - another talented friend
Flowers - gift from my mother
Wedding dress - The Chinese, great bunch of lads
Bridesmaids dresses chosen, not bought yet (waiting for the sale!)

Also have the pre-marriage course booked for July :)

Did I mention that I also have to lose about 3 stone to fit into my dress?! Nothing like a wedding for some added incentive lol!

Hey fellow June brides!!! :wv I've been a lurker for a while but I'm getting married one year today so I thought I should sign up officially to WOL!! So far we have booked:

Our venue (booked 2011 - slightly over organised!!)
Decoration Company (Having civil ceremony in hotel so want it to look nice!)
Band/DJ
Hairdresser
Save the Dates
Make-Up (sister in law to be)
Flowers (aunty in law to be)
Photographer (My uncle)
Ceremony music (aunt and uncle to be)
Cake (hopefully a willing family member!)

I also think I've made a decision on my dress and am going bridesmaid shopping in August! Exciting but slightly scary now! We've been engaged since March 2011 and now we can say "its less than a year" the whole thing is becoming very real!!!

Hi everyone! We've booked June 1st next year - cannot wait!! Although everyone keeps giving out to me for saying that and telling me I should just enjoy the planning!

So far we have booked:

Church (& possibly priest - he's being transferred next month so he can't commit yet!)
Hotel
Videographer
Photographer
Church Music
Wedding Car
Florist
Make Up Artist (my wonderful sister!)
Hairdresser (H2B's cousin)

We're going to see two band over the next two Saturdays so hopefully H2B will like one of them - he's insistent on there being a band who will play enough waltzing & jiving to satisfy his aunts etc and possibly a set. :action34 I have also looked at suits for the boys & invitations online. H2B think's I a mental case for doing all this so early....will have to show him this forum so that he sees that I'm well behind some of the rest of you!
