Laser cut invitations

I'm having a melt down over invitations O:|

MIL hasn't liked any I have shown her so far, too much sparkle, too man diamonds, it looks too busy, too DIY etc etc. DP just wants something plain. I want laser cut. We live in the UK so am looking at them here as they seem to be a lot cheaper. I got a sample today of a laser cut design, it was awful, she had just used a paper cutter in a certain shape. The 'card' was very flimsy too.
I really think I want to make them myself.
Or has anyone any recommendations of good quality laser cut invites that won't mean il have to remortgage the house to pay for them? Thank you

I've never heard of laser cut invitations so I googled them - wow they look amazing, but I'd imagine they'll have a hefty price tag!!

Only read about these laser cut invites yesterday! Someone on this site recommended a good site for invites savethedate.ie and they had them. They had some general prices but I can't remember how much.

Noi idea about laser cut but one piece of advise for you - do not be showing them to your MIL. This is YOUR wedding. Choose what you and your OH want!

wow they look amazing. but can be totally honest with you. no body will notice you have spend so much on them. And most men will just dump them. Sorry to be blunt. But invitations at expensive, and dont forget you have to post then

you would be better spending you money on something that guests would enjoy. like entertainment during the meal (sing waiters). or a candy cart.
