Church flowers

Hi wollies,

Just wondering can anyone tell me what sort of flowers you generally need or the chuch? I have ribbons for the pews so wont be putting flowers on them - so do I just need some flowers for the alter? Or should you put any in other places? Our church is quite small and Im useless I never notice flowers at weddings so am not sure what is needed? O:|

Even if anyone has any pics that would be super. Thanks a mil O:o)

I think its mostly a personal choice.

There is usually an arrangement sitting on the altar along with unity candles.

Some people have flower arrangements on either side of the altar aswell.

You can go as little or as much with church flowers - it totally depends on how much you like photos and your budget.

Lots of people have a floral arrangement on the altar which incorporates the unity candles and a pedestal arrangement each side of the altar. But of course this is totally up to you - if you'd rather leave it out or if your budget doesn't allow for it.

Our church means a lot to us so we've planned to go all out with flowers, flowers in every nook and cranny. I'm so lucky that my florist gets this but also understands that I have a budget to stick to. We've cut back in other areas so that we can spend a little more on flowers.
