Church music - Instrumental only???

Ladies, i've just started to look into church music. We are thinking of having a pianist alone with no soloist. Has anybody been to a wedding with instrumental only? Could it be a bit weird not having a singer? :wv

We aren't having a singer. We have booked Dublin String Quartet ( but as a trio) I have been to a wedding where they have instrumental and a singer but not without a singer but that's what I like so I said feck it and didn't book a singer :o)ll :o)ll
