flower girls..are they too old for..

baskets/wands/bouquets
my flower girls are 7 and 8 and very tall for their age. hearing different things from florists O:|
one florist said they are too old for wands and other suggested wands as they are too old for baskets
don't think i'm crazy about the little bouquets for them, have never seen flower girls with these and i dont think they would hold them right anyways

I'd say too old for wands, baskets are old fashioned and I don't like them. I think mini bouquets are perfect for that age IMO

Have you thought about getting them corsages? Or mini bouquets? I think the bouquets look really, really cute.

My flowergirl had a tiny bouquet. It wasn't the same as mine or the bm's though - it was just a simple few sprigs of camomile - we had a few bits of that in ours too - and I thought it was just dotey!!

my flowergirl is 9 but is really borderline junior bridesmaid as she is also quite tall for her age, so I decided to go with a mini bridesmaid bouquet. she was delighted when she heard as her mum is a BM who will have a larger version of her bouquet, so she felt all grown up when she heard! i think the mini bouquets look kinda cute anyway ;-)

I would definitely think the wands are for tiny children who couldn't hold a basket or would be in danger of spilling it! i'm not hugely mad about baskets anyway.

luckyladee - your FG looks really cute & gorgeous!

thanks girls you've been a huge help!
I wasn't keen on the bouquets cos i assumed they would be big (smaller than BMs tho) and I thought they mightnt be able to carry it but looking at the pictures here your right they do look so cute and not too big!
so wands and baskets are out - wasnt keen on basket anyways just thought if wands were out would have to no choice but have baskets!
I'm going to talk to florist about the little bouquet or pomander...i like both :)
