Few questions about meath venues
I have a few questions that I need to know before I go to the trouble of booking a viewing for the following venues:
BOYNE HILL HOUSE- The shape of the function room looks weird..is this the case? Does it matter? MILL HOUSE SLANE- How near is the nearby accommodation? Could guests walk? Also, as there isn't a resident's bar as such...how strict are they with guests leaving the premises...what do I do with the ones who want to stay drinking until 4+? GLEBE HOUSE- Anything at all on this...V.little info.... Thanks! All very new and exciting
Re: Few questions about meath venues
I viewed Boyne Hill House for my wedding and I liked it. We wanted to make a weekend of the wedding and this place definitely lends itself to that. The country house is nice for the family/bridal party to stay and the cottages are great for your friends. The grounds and secret garden are lovely too and of course its exclusively yours!!
The function room 'L' shape is not great....I think if you were having a smaller wedding it would be ok The long bit of the 'L' means some guests are at the very back of the room on top of the staircase (not ideal). Because there is not a huge amount of space upstairs they move the guests back downstairs to the bar area where you have your drinks reception for the band. You have to see it to see what I mean. On the major plus side I thought it offered great value...... I went to a wedding in The Mill House last year. The venue ticks many boxes but overall I left a little unimpressed. The meal was really late being served, dont know whether this was the wedding party or venue's fault but everyone was STARVING. I didnt like the layout of the marquee.....there is 3 tiers and there was not enough space even with the extra bit added on. I felt I was eating my dinner on top of people. I didnt think the toilest were the cleanest as the night progressed. On the plus side the food was tasty and there is a nice view over the river. Dont know about residents bar as we left once the music finished If you are looking for venues in Meath maybe checkout Ballymagarvey Village (thats where I booked in the end) or Bellinter House (friends have booked there). Good luck with the search-I found the venue to be the most stressfull bit [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]
