Need weight/toning help please
Hi ladies, I could really do with some advice. Ive never been very confident and I have a lot of body issues. I hate looking at myself in pictures too, terribly unphotogenic. I started losing weight a while ago and I was doing great until my hen night. Went way off track and it's been a slippery slope since. I have a belly and arms that I hate. I'm so tired at the moment and a lot stressed about the wedding. It's less than 3 weeks away and I really need to tone up a lot. Do any of you have any advice on how to do it fast. Really worried I'll spill over dress, not be happy with myself on the day and hate myself in my bikini on honeymoon.

Re: Need weight/toning help please
Can I share a little story with you? (I'm going to whether you like it or not ![]() I've been overweight since I was about 12. I didn't have a boyfriend in school, then when I was 17 I met someone who reeled me in and convinced me I couldn't and wouldn't find anyone else. I starved myself down three sizes, to the point where my Mum passed me on the street and didn't recognise me - and I was utterly, utterly miserable. I have NO photographs of me from the age of 13 to the age of 21. I put on an awful lot of weight, I pushed people away, and I pretended I didn't care. It's only recently that I can actually look at a photo of myself. I lost a lot of weight last year, but I still have a way to go - I'm well aware that I am not going to look like a size 12 on my wedding day. I've come to terms with it - I am going to try my best to look the best I can and enjoy my one and only wedding day. And do you know what? I'm not actually as horrible looking as I always thought I was. Please, please don't spend your last 3 weeks before your wedding tying yourself up into a knot worrying about your weight. Life, honestly, is too short. Who cares if your bikini is snug? At this stage, I'd rather be a little tight in something and enjoy myself than be a perfect size 10 and utterly miserable. Please don't worry, just eat healthily for the next few weeks and relax xxx Re: Need weight/toning help please

Jillian Michaels DVD 30 day Shred gets results fast too. It's 20 Mins a day. Level one is available on Youtube so you could lay into level 1 while waiting for DVD to be delivered (amazon etc will have it). All you need are hand weights and a yoga mat.
Re: Need weight/toning help please
Totally agree with all of the above but if you're set on losing some weight in the next few weeks then I'd suggest you try a low GL diet - it's really not too restrictive plus the food you're eating is great for your blood sugar levels so you should end up with more energy. Maybe a kettlebells class and some running for toning and cardio for weight loss. Speaking from personal experience I find exercise & healthy eating great for my mood, for keeping stress levels down and for helping me to sleep and I'll be prioritising exercise & eating well in the lead up to my wedding for all those reasons - consider it a bonus if as a result of all that you lose weight and feel better in your dress!! I do kettlebells classes with friends and we have a laugh at it together so maybe try get some close friends to sign up for a class/course with you for the next few weeks....

Re: Need weight/toning help please
+100 for the kettlebells too, although you don't want to be crippled on your big day but you will see a difference in arms.
You'd need some cardio to lose general weight, which is why 30 Day Shred is good. It incorporates cardio, strength and ab exercises into the 20 min workout.
