having a september wedding and decided on ivory, red and grey, the red works well as Cork is kind of a theme in the wedding :)
The bridemaids are a red chiffon material which makes the red look less wintery or christmas-ey :-)

Hey happygirl, I've change mine a million times! From ALL white, to dusty rose, lavender and cream, to ivory and green, to all neutrals - champagne, antique gold, ivory, cream ecru, etc, and now I've moved onto ivory with florals! :-) Wedding's in August so I hope this one sticks! Like you, I love colours, and dread picking one and then seeing something I like in a different colour and whizzing back to the beginning and choosing all over again! :-D anyway, for now my dress is creamy with floral embellished lace on the top, bridesmaids are in ivory dresses with floral heels and (still looking for) a shrug/cardigan with dainty floral pattern to go over dress... :-)

I'm going for green pink and blue because I love colour and couldn't pick just one, going for rich jewel tones.

Hi! I initially wanted my favourite colour, which is purple, but my cousin only recently got married and had her reception at the same venue, and she had a purple theme so I didn't want it to look like a carbon copy! I consulted the girls - I really like green but they hated it so I wasn't going to get them green dresses if they really didn't want that.

Finally decided on royal blue, because it's a gorgeous jewel colour for the time of year we're getting married (October) and it's easy to match - important when you're going looking for ribbons, ties, etc - I'm having an orange accent here and there but nothing major (just in flowers, vases etc).

Enjoy your planning, make the most of it, time really does go so fast once you start!

Best of luck x

congrats on your engagement & welcome to WOL!

yeah, the colour thing is kind of difficult to choose. mine changed a million times (or so it feels). in the end i got purple bridesmaid dresses cos that is the shade that looked best on each of my BMs (they've all got different colouring).

so now it's purple, silver & pale gold with a pop of colour in the BM's flowers (going for red & purple/pink, mine will be ivory). we're having our wedding at christmas so wanted to go for a luxurious feel.

Mine changed loads too, it's only a tiny informal wedding so it was never a massive decision. It really went on what bridesmaid dress I was looking at, it went from blue and red to brown and pink and finally to red and black.

Its hard making a decision alright!!! i organically wanted creams/golds(neutral tones) but bridesmaids were having none of it.....Then wanted teal or turqoise but again they all hated it.....Finally ended up with Pink and black!!!

Thanks so much for all of the tips! I'm thinking of going for a May wedding in 2014 now, so I'm thinking bright tangerine and pink for a nice pop of colour! Got the idea looking through bouquets oddly enough but I like it! Bright and fresh :-)!! Now what to do next.... :-)
