Aerlingus Flight Price Fluctuations????

I was delighted to see that Aerlingus had finally released the summer schedule for Verona, Italy last Friday. I checked the price in the morning and it seemed like a reasonable price. However I went back in to look at the price Friday afternoon and it had gone up €20. I wasn't expecting the price to go up in the space of a few hours. Funnily the same thing happened with another route I was looking at a week ago to Milan and that flight is now back down to it's original starting price. Has anyone experienced this? I don't know whether to just book my flight or wait to see if it comes back down in a weeks time. I know aerlingus flights increase over time I just wan't prepared for the price to start going up this quickly. I have a lot of wedding guests to book for and if it keeps increasing at this rate people will end up paying a fortune.

they can track ip addresses, it sometimes go up if you akready checked the price.

Try booking it again from a different computer, or if your with upc from a different persons internet connection.

Then whenever your checking again check the dates for three days later, you still see the prices for the day you want.

Yeah I heard this before too. Same with Ryanair. Pretty sneaky of them, though I suppose that's how they make their profits.

They only have so many seats at each price, so say for example there are 100 seats, the first ten seats sold will be €20, the next 15 will be €30 etc etc
So someone else was probably planning their holidays for next year too and booked and so got the cheaper flights

I guess I just find it suspicious that the dates I looked at have gone up while all other dates have remained the same. I looked at 2 weeks and 1 week from a given departure date and its those 3 dates that have jumped. I have also looked at them from a few different IP addresses and sky scanner and its all the same. Also srange that the same thing happened with another route that I looked into and those prices returned to their original starting price after a week. I thinl I'll hold for a few days and see what happens although I am worried they will go up even more.

Are you looking for 1 person or changing the number of people each time? As already said, there are only a certain number of flights at each price so if you are looking to book say 1 people and later check the price for 5 people, the price may change.

It's called revenue yielding.

The more that people show interest the higher the rate will go. Now, I know that they do record "click"/interest on certain flights and if there is a huge interest prices will slowly increase.

If people actually Book they will definitely increase.

I know this might seem strange but if you are on the internet checking your flights constantly you may well be part of the "click" synopsis and in affect influencing the price of your flights!

I know, I know, but this is the way both market research, procedures and technology has
progressed to.
