We actually got him down to €350 on the chair covers, based on having between 180 and 220 ppl sitting (i reckon i will have 200). So say thats €1.75 each, he wouldnt budge on that. At the end of it all he has done us a flat rate "per head" for food, wine and all those additional bits and pieces, so i suppose it wouldnt make a massive amount of difference to get it down a few pence.

Hi Girls, just to let you know. Gracecovers.ie think they are clare based, are doing chair covers any colour for €2.50, no affiliation.

Hi Guys :wv

We are also having our wedding in the Armada in May 2012. We have been offered the 2011 rates for everything and although we haven't started negotiating yet, there is alot to negotiate with the prices they have given. Corkage in the broucher is €9.50/bottle of wine, €14.50 for champagne & sparking wine and €5/chair cover. I use to work in the hotel when I was in school and livng at home so I do know that the owners and staff put alot of effort into each wedding, which can often be priceless......but I suppose the prices are always higher to allow for negotiating.
