Corkage Prices?

Hi, trying to sort out prices for corkage for the wine/champagne with Dublin hotel at the moment, would you mind giving me an idea of what your paying? O-O

We're very much at the higher end of things- 8euro for both champagne and wine. Got them down from 12 and apparently we did well to achieve that. Expensive but will still work out better value than their own house wine.

Most hotels will go much lower, we're in a country house type venue so didn't have too much joy

Ours was 8 but we got them down to 5 for wine, sparkling wine, champers, etc all same price! I think this is definitely one thing you should try to haggle on!

Our Hotel in East Galway is not charging us for corkage which is a hugh help

ours was 10e got them down to 7e thats in a dublin hotel but we have guests over 200+ so thats why they brought it down so much!

We're paying €5 for corkage going to try and see if we can bring it don a bit more.

Ours is 15 for champagne and 12 for wine, I've tried twice now to get it down but they're not budging O:|

Since I last posted this we got them down to €4!!!

You should haggle with them I think most places know well you are going to ask that they reduce this cost given that some places do corkage at no charge!

Same as ours, if anyone has any tips on haggling specifically for corkage please pass them on.....
