Beer and Cider wedding favours

Hi,

We really want to brew our own beer and cider and personalise the bottles for our wedding. The hotel have said that we need our own home brew licence in order to do this? Have any of you had this experience with your venues?

I'm quite annoyed with the hotel as I've never heard anything like this before. We're just trying to do something that we really enjoy and would be such a personal gift for our guests.

Any help on this would be great.

Maybe your the staff at your venus are telling you this because it is not allowed by law in Ireland to brew your own beer and cider for more than private use. Giving it as favors goes beyond private use.

Why don't you get personalized labels instead?

we had also wanted to bring in a home brew as favours. the hotel had no problem with this but did suggest maybe we had them on arrival instead which actually suits better as we also have summer punch & i was afraid some of the women would nt like the home brew
