I like lamb but it can be quite fatty so that would concern me a little. I think beef is a safer option for a big crowd. I know we all try to avoid the "typical" wedding menu but the reason things like beef are so popular is because the majority of people are happy to eat it and it's normally easy enough for a kitchen to cater for a big crowd without the quality of the meat getting too compromised.

Think beef is a safer option. I don't mind lamb, but did have it at a wedding once, it was cooked medium and the blood was running out, put me right off! Most of the guests asked for it to be cooked more :o0

I hate lamb but as long as there was a fish option I'd prob have that anyway so it wouldn't bother me. I do think beef is more of a crowd pleaser though.

I'd prefer beef, I know lots of people who don't eat lamb, it definitely isn't a crowd pleaser like beef!

I love lamb, I hate beef but I know its usually the opposite, beef is the safer option so I'm going with beef for my guests so I will have the seabass.

Beef for me. I like lamb sometimes but it really depends on type of lamb and how it is cooked. Beef is a safer option.

oOOH Beef please, I hate lamb. I know some people love it but I would be so disappointed to have it. The beef might be safer, sorry.

I love lamb cooked at home but would never eat it out as there is too much chance of it being undercooked for my taste or too fatty...its risky, but everyone likes beef and its harder to get wrong..

I love lamb but I am always wary when I get it out somewhere that it will be fatty or undercooked - so i always stick with Beef as it can be cooked better to your liking than lamb (IMO)
