cupcakes for arrival reception????

Hi Guys

I know most people will be hungry when they get to the hotel so we were looking at getting canapes but the hotel is charging €20 per person i think that is a bit too much compared to other hotels so i was thinking of ordering cupcakes

Do you think this would be a good idea? oh says they might be too filling before the meal and that theres no need for both cupcakes and a wedding cake

Just wanted to make sure guests wern't complaining they were hungry and alot of them probably wouldnt eat the canapes anyway xxx

I think it sounds lovely - a lot of places do scones instead of canapes now so I don't think it's too much/different. You would probably need to check if the hotel you allow you to bring the cupcakes in - they may charge you for have to serve them - similar to a corkage charge.

Hi there, I love the idea of cupcakes for arrivals, i am creating an arrivals cupcake table for a wedding later in the year. I will have a selection of flavoured cupcakes, with different icings, and they will be displayed on china plates in the arrivals room.

Yay ! Im thinking of doing this too, I think its such a great idea . Have to speak to the hotel , but looks like my guests will be greeted with cupcakes . A friend of my sister makes them , so will prob ask her :o)ll
