DIY candy buffet

Hi all i am thinking of trying to have a candy buffet at our wedding and thinking of doin it ourselfs i was just wondering if anyone has done this and if they have any tips on where to get jars etc :)

Such a good idea to do this urself y pay lots of money for someone to buy some sweets and put them in jars for u when u can do this so much cheaper urself!
I would say if u can get to ikea they would have lots of different shaped jars for you to choose from, failing that maybe pound shops? you could even use flower vases as these will come in different shapes.
as for the sweets u could go to your local wholesalers (that shops use) they will usually sell to the public not many turn away hard cash, again failing this u could buy on line just google sweets and you will get options here to choose from one is aquarterof.co.uk the have all sorts of sweets to buy.
I would just jar them all up maybe get a few scoops or tongs (for hygiene) and some paper bags again u can prob google these to get nice ones rather than brown or white paper bags.

Decorate the table with maybe some tuille the same colour as your bridesmaids or if ur having chair covers the same colour as the sash! as easy as that.

You dont have to pay a fortune to hire someones candy cart to have the same affect laid out on a table can do just as good!

P.S. didu look at the next tread on here about candy buffet! theirs is jsut lad out on a table an i would say they are vases, and glasses the sweets are in!

My friend bought all her stuff for candy buffet on ebay- scoops, paper bags etc.. Looked great!

Will be doing our own candy buffet too got some bargain jars in ikea, heatons and TK Maxx. Going to get the bags and scoops on eBay they seem to be the best value. Hope to get the sweets in cash and carry closer to the time :)

As others said Ikea is great for the jars and ebay for the decorations for it.

Also for the sweets I used retrosweetz.com as found them the cheapest as when I went to Cash and Carry you had to buy huge jars whereas on this site you get to get a variety of sweets for the same price
